Tomatoes!

I haven't posted lately! But here are some cute little baby tomatoes! :)

I will do a more in-depth post when more things start to grow haha. We transplanted a lot from the pots to the ground today and the tomato plants got their cages!

Plant Update

Hiiii :)

Yesterday we planted some stuff in the ground. Also, a lot of stuff is coming up from the pots! Here are some pictures:

Here's the corn, there's a lot more today!!

And these are the peas. There are also a lot more of these!

We didn't want to plant corn in a pot, we wanted to do it directly in the ground, but when we planted them in the pots, we didn't have a place for them in the ground yet. But we do now, so they'll have a nice home when they outgrow the pot! :)

 Tomatoes!

 And more tomatoes...

Peppers!

The little patch on the left is onions, and there's also some onions in between the tomatoes.

 Tomatoes again!

Annnddd there's everything together. Yesterday was generally a productive day in the garden! :)

New Plants!

Yesterday I went to Acme and they had some vegetable plants outside, so I got a couple. Here's a really bad photo haha:

It was taken with my phone in the dark haha, sorry. But anywho, I got a grape tomato plant, a jalepeno pepper plant, and another tomato plant that doesn't say what kind it is, but it's 'high yielding' which is always a plus to me.

We've always bought tomato plants, never planted them from seeds, and since we couldn't go to our usual plant sale this year, I just went ahead and got the Acme ones.

Well, I suppose that's about it!

I'm back!

We got started on our planting today. It's a lot later than we did last year, but we still weren't sure what we were going to do about the yard flooding anyway so we didn't want to start and have no place to put them after they out grew the pots. We finally decided to start them in pots and we are going to build deep boxes off the ground to grow them in, and possibly try buckets for tomatoes. No weeds or rabbits, that's always a plus! Here are some pictures:

Some are flowers, some are vegetables and fruit. I still need to get cucumber seeds though!!! But at least it's a start. Thanks for reading!!

I'm still alive...

I know, I know. I fell of the face of the earth again. Apparently I'm not very good at this blogging thing =/

I asked this before, but I'm going to ask again. What are some vegetables that I can grow through the winter? It's just starting to get really cold here but I'm really missing gardening in the summer!
